Can i feed my gerbils vegetables/fruit instead of gerbils food?

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

i am planning on getting gerbils, but can i feed them mostly vegetables/fruits and feed them gerbil food once in a while or are vegetables/fruits treats for gerbils and only be fed to them occasionally.

No, definitely not.

Gerbils need the protein and other nutrients that the gerbil food provides and too much fruit/vegetables will give them diarrhea and make them sick. You should use gerbil food as the majority of their diet and give them small amounts of fruits and vegetables occasionally as treats.

For two gerbils give them one handful of gerbil food a day. I pick out the sunflower and pumpkin seeds and save them as treats, since they’re fattening and addictive to gerbils.

Gerbil food is not all that expensive. I use Kaytee, which has a good variety. One bag lasts a long time.

whichh one breaks down faster: bread, cooked, meat, cheese, fruit, lettuce?

what foods break down faster in viniger

I would think bread breaks down the fastest. It is the most absorbent and will suck up a lot of the vinegar.

Where is the next food source for your people when you have depleted the fruit bush and can’t fish yet?

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

This is on the Virtual Villagers game- where is the food source now?

You need to get enough points for Level 2 Farming before you run out of berries on your bush.

Dedicate all of your Villagers except one to Research in order to get enough points to make sure you can get Level 2 Farming before your berries run out. The one Villager that isn’t researching should be your Farmer who will forage for the berries that the rest of the Villagers need to survive.

Also, if you’ve bred a child, make sure you keep your eyes open for the mushrooms, they do help with your food supply… The red mushrooms offer more points than the others.

And don’t be in a hurry to breed too much before you reach at least Level 2 of Farming… Children eat just as much as adults do and the kids can’t do anything until they are 14 (at which time they can work — they have to be 18 to breed)

Can you Check my History work???

1. A wholesaler is offering two different package deals of roses and carnations to florists. One package contains 20 dozen roses and 34 dozen carnations for $504.00. The other package contains 20 dozen roses and 17 dozen carnations for $327.00. This information can be represented by the system of equations:

20r + 34c = 504
and
15r + 17c = 327.

r represents the cost of one dozen roses and the c represents the cost of one dozen carnations.

Solve the system of equations to find the cost, in dollars, of a dozen roses.

2. The "lightweighting" process makes it possible for manufactures to use less material to produce glass bottles. In 1972 it took 75.7 pounds of glass to produce one hundred 16-ounce glass bottles. In 1992 it took 48 pounds of glass to make the same number and compared with 1992 to produce one hundred 16-ounce bottles?

20r + 34c = 504
15r + 17c = 327
multiply second by –2 and add
–30r –34c = –654
–10r = –150
r = 15

2) what is the question?

Working out to bulk up then cut down… when?

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

i have been working out for more then a year now and am kind of getting annoyed how freakin hard it is to get big. I realise you need to eat 3000 cals per day to gain. i try and eat 6 meals evrey day and are usually as follows

meal 1) 2 eggs, oatmeal and orange juice
meal 2) whole wheat bagel with tuna and vegetables with choclate milk
Meal 3)chicken breasts with two cups whole wheat pasta
meal 4) protein shake 2 scoops with milk
Meal 5)steak and potatoes with veggies.

I work out 4 -5 times a week and work out like a beast… do a bit of cardio and still have a belly. i feel the muscle and see my gains in the gym but my weight hardly moves. For the amount of effort i put in i should be huge… when do i stop bulking up and cut my calories and bulk down,,,, how do you know when to switch? any suggestions… thanks

Don’t get frustrated, just keep working out and you will continue to grow. You say you’ve been working out for a little over a year. When I had been working out for a year I wasn’t big at all. In fact I’m still not that big and I’ve been working out for almost 5 years. It takes time, lots of time. Your diet sounds good. When you decide to cut is entirely up to you. I usually wait until my waist is 2 or 3 inches bigger than it should be, and then I start dieting until my waist is small again. Then I start bulking again.

please help me?

What would you say reducing Co2 emissions to 350ppm would involve?

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

e.g. would technological innovations and changes be enough, or would a wholesale re-organisation of how society works be required?

For example, I understand that ships produce massive amounts of Co2, so would addressing the problem mean restricting the amount of goods shipped around the world?

Alternatively, modern western society relies on an extended "supply chain" for food, which is sold in supermarkets and carried long distances. Would this have to change?

Your views and comments?
.

either
1) we have to invent some way to reduce the concentration of co2 gas in the air..this may invovle inventing chemical process to remove co2 from air, or other geo-engineering schemes or any other dreamy earth-saving idea..
this will definitely involve lots of research, some talented human-brains, path-breaking idea, and monetary support to carry out research.
or
2) you have to reduce the population of the earth to that extent , so that co2 generation is reduced, and the system will automatically readjust itself to 350 ppm level by creating new forests…
this will involve calculating number of people which earth can support to hold on 350 ppm level…and then find the ways how to eliminate the excess population from the earth
or
3) if you donot want to reduce population, you have to force the people to enjoy all the modern amenities they are enjoying now…close down industries, ban on cars, electricity ..etc
this will involve again come to a solution which amenities which industry you have to close down so that you can come to your desired target..
or
there may be many..think about it..
lastly
4) if you donot want to do anything,,
a)you can make business out of it and make lots of money by fooling people…
b) you can use it for your political and social agenda…

conclusion…you can use co2 in any way you want…
