WIncreased protein in my diet to stay full and lose weight….am i going to bulk up?hat would you like to ask?

I recently got a bit off track from my previously successful diet and exercise regimen, and I came to the conclusion that I wasn’t eating enough protein to give me energy to exercise, and the lack of protein was making me starved so i would binge eat. I made some changes, and now my day’s meals look like this:

Breakfast:

1 cup of nonfat cottage cheese
1 apple
2 cups of coffee with light cream (2-3 tbsp)

In between: 1 zero calorie sobe lifewater; 1 regular bottled water; and one adirondack zero calorie flavored water

Lunch:

****Varies*****

I alternate every day between:

1 (130 calorie) rice wrap with mustard, 2 slices of cracked pepper turkey, and lettuce
1 apple
1 fiberone (50 calorie) yogurt

OR

1 EAS AdvantEdge protein shake (110 calories) and an apple

In between: lots and lots of water; celery and salsa; occasionally coffee; occassionally some egg beaters (but not often, maybe once every two weeks)

Dinner:

5-6 ounces of skinless, boneless (fatless) chicken
a huge plate of green vegetables
salad with just veggies and 2 tbsp of Lite Sweet Vidalia dressing
3/4 cup of white rice

After:

25 calories freeze pop
10 calorie gluten free ice cream cone
60 calorie jello pudding

This seems to be working out nicely for me in regards to satisfying me and controlling my hunger…. however, the other day my mom bought be "pure whey protein" with 23 g of protein in 1 scoop and only 120 calories….but before I use it, i want to make sure that it won’t make me gain MORE weight by bulking me up….im a girl, btw, and I just want to lose 5-10 more pounds and have lean muscle rather than flabiness.

so Is my diet okay like it is? should I not add in the whey protein? and if i should, where do you recommend i fit it in? how often?

thanks!

Whey will not make you bulk up:) Focus on your nutrition, it looks good! Stay positive, you can always add whey as a meal replacement in your diet as well!

the whey protein will NOT make you fatter, if anything it’ll balance out your lean body muscle, to fat ratio alot better. and as for looking bulky you dont have to worry about that since scientifically, you only gain about 10 pounds of muscle a year through hard training.
And to build muscle mass you need high levels of testosterone.. i doubt you have too much being a woman… unless (god i hope not) you have testicles……
