A traditional chinese dragon for your viewing. i did 2 versions: one is at the very beginning, and the other i put at the end- it is more sculptural, but not as neat. tell me which one you like better

Very nice. I like the second one better. It looks as if it’s getting ready to become alive and fly off the melon. The edging on the bottom was a nice touch. Good work.

This is real artwork, not just fruit carving. I like the one at the end better for the reasons bibbeny said. I can’t wait to see more of your fruit sculptures!

thank you! i see from your profile that you like to draw- this can really help you a lot in fruit carving. check out my carvings of a lion’s head, a doberman, and a discus fish to see how my wife first sketched them out and then drew them on a watermelon with a maker. good luck!!
