Durian Fruit: Worst Smell for Food? Horrible odor.

Durian fruit is known world-wide for smelling the worst of any other food, probably in the world. Durians smell like rotten eggs, sewer, toilet, and flatulence all at once.

But, it has a heavenly taste most foreigners (outside Asia) can’t get used to. I love it!

At the end of a vacation in Malaysia I bought Durian-sweets at the airport.. you know I wanted to take something typical back to Germany. I didn’t know about the smell though.. and I nearly vomited as I opened the package, I guess a skunk must smell similar to that.. it was so unexpected, I think there should be a warning on durian-products “attention, uttermost disgusting smell might cause unconciousness” or something like that haha! But yet I was brave enough to taste it and it’s not bad
