Yes, jackfruit is one of my favorites… in some parts of thailand they also boil the jackfruit and use it as a condiment in morning curry (on the vegetable plate) – awesome stuff. Amazing smell.

At the end of a vacation in Malaysia I bought Durian-sweets at the airport.. you know I wanted to take something typical back to Germany. I didn’t know about the smell though.. and I nearly vomited as I opened the package, I guess a skunk must smell similar to that.. it was so unexpected, I think there should be a warning on durian-products “attention, uttermost disgusting smell might cause unconciousness” or something like that haha! But yet I was brave enough to taste it and it’s not bad

OK – wow… I know …
OK – wow… I know that sometimes when I smell it – after I’d eaten it and loved it – the smell doesn’t smell like anything offensive… but, usually – it does… if it hits you by surprise… like in the shopping mart or passing a stall on the sidewalk where they were peeling it to wrap it in clear wrap and sell it – it can really be gross!

I don’t smoke at all my friend ) My wife told some people hate the smell and some people don’t mind it, i guess i’m one of the few who don’t mind the smell. lol )
